West Ham United have signed striker Pablo Felipe from Gil Vicente and agreed a deal for Taty Castellanos of Lazio.
The combined spend could reach £47m as Nuno Espírito Santo seeks goals in a relegation fight.
Pablo joins for £18.3m plus add-ons after scoring nine goals this season.
Castellanos is set to arrive for about £26.1m following talks on New Year’s Day.
West Ham dropped plans to bid for Jørgen Strand Larsen after deciding his £40m valuation was too high.
They are also exploring a short-term move for Adama Traoré, while a loan for Raheem Sterling failed.
With Niclas Füllkrug loaned out, goals were a priority.
West Ham may also add a centre-back and are open to further departures this window.
