Google has introduced new upgrades to its Gemini AI platform alongside the launch of the Pixel 10 lineup, Pixel Watch 4, and updated earbuds. The company is positioning these tools as more proactive assistants, capable of anticipating needs rather than waiting for prompts.
A central feature of the rollout is Magic Cue, exclusive to the Pixel 10 series. It blends information from services such as Gmail, Maps, and Calendar to anticipate what might be useful in the moment. For example, flight details will pop up automatically when calling an airline, or a brunch message can trigger café suggestions and calendar availability. The new Tensor G5 chip enables these functions directly on-device, ensuring both speed and privacy.
Pixel 10 Range
The Pixel 10 debuts with a 6.3-inch OLED display and a triple camera array, including a new 10.8MP telephoto lens with 5x zoom. The Pixel 10 Pro comes in two sizes, 6.3 and 6.8 inches, and features a 48MP telephoto camera capable of 10x optical zoom. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold adds durable IP68 water and dust resistance to Google’s foldable phones for the first time, with a similar camera setup to the Pixel 10. Prices begin at £799 for the Pixel 10, £999 for the Pro, and £1,749 for the Fold. The regular models ship on 28 August, with the Fold following on 9 October.
AI Photography
Among the most notable additions is Camera Coach, which evaluates scenes in real time and provides suggestions on framing, angles, and lighting to help capture more polished photos.
Pixel Watch 4
Google’s wearable lineup expands with Pixel Watch 4, which integrates Gemini to act as a health and fitness coach. Through Fitbit support, the watch creates personalised workout and sleep plans, monitors real-time training impact, and answers wellbeing queries in natural language. Updates include a 10% larger domed display, satellite SOS emergency capability in the US, and improved repairability for batteries and screens. Pricing starts from £349 (€499 / $349 / A$579).
Pixel Buds 2a
Complementing the flagship Buds Pro 2, Google is releasing the more affordable Pixel Buds 2a. They feature noise cancellation, the Tensor A1 chip, and built-in Gemini AI support at a cost of £129 (€149 / $129 / A$239). The case includes a replaceable battery, though the earbuds themselves remain sealed.
Unified AI Vision
With Gemini now deeply integrated into phones, watches, and earbuds, Google is advancing its goal of a connected device ecosystem. The company is focusing on making technology more autonomous — able to anticipate context and act for the user rather than simply respond to requests.
