Arsenal and Crystal Palace have had their Premier League games moved to ease fixture congestion before their Carabao Cup quarter-final on 23 December.
Originally set to play on Sunday 21 December, Arsenal’s trip to Everton and Palace’s visit to Leeds will now take place at 8pm on Saturday 20 December.
The change comes after both clubs raised concerns over player welfare, with Palace also facing KuPS in the Conference League on 18 December.
In a statement, the Premier League said: “Player welfare is a priority… This adjustment reflects the challenges caused by expanded UEFA competitions.”
The league thanked Leeds United and Everton for their cooperation. Both rescheduled fixtures will still be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
